Saying ‘Sell’ on S&P 500 Stocks Becomes Bull-Market Trend
Analysts may be less reluctant to recommend selling U.S. stocks after more than seven years of a bull market. Fifty-five percent of the shares now in the S&P 500 Index have at least one sell rating or an equivalent, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. Both the number of companies and the total ratings surpassed peaks in 2009, just after the most recent bear market ended.
