Emerging Markets’ Bright Side Seen in Economic Prospects
Emerging-market stocks and bonds have more to gain from indications of faster economic growth than they have to lose from President-elect Donald Trump’s trade policies, according to Richard Turnill, BlackRock Inc.’s global chief investment strategist. In a blog post Wednesday, Turnill contrasted the rally in an S&P GSCI index of aluminum, copper, lead, nickel and zinc prices since the U.S. presidential election with declines in the securities. “We see positives outweighing the risks” associated with Trump, he wrote.
